Framar Salon

Framar Salon was designed to create a comfortable, calming experience for clients from the moment they walk through the door.

The end result is a beautiful, glowing white on white space with placements of frosted glass, natural wood, textured porcelain stone and glass mosaics that work to create a fresh, calming environment.

The design challenge was to create a space that eliminated many of the typical negative situations salon clients face, such as being seated at the front of the store so everybody stares as you walk in, power bars sitting on the floor with wires all over the place collecting hair, yellow lighting which made colouring hair difficult.

The salon is perfectly symmetrical and strategically placed mirrors make the salon seem endless. All styling trolleys are custom made with rift cut oak, lacquered mdf, and stainless steel.

Floating styling walls created by placing cove lighting on all outer and inner edges of the wall. The styling area is completed by the use of Philippe Stark salon chairs, beautiful yet simple chairs that work great in this space.

Lighting was critical to the solution of the design, the space is lit with a mixture of incandescent, halogen, and colour corrected fluorescent lighting.
